Mowry was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii to Darlene (née Flowers), who manages her children's careers, and Timothy Mowry, a police officer in California.[1][2][3] His mother is Bahamian American and his father is British American; the two met during high school in Miami and later both enlisted in the military, becoming NCOs.[1][3][4] He is the younger brother of identical twin sisters Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry. He also has a younger brother, Tavior Mowry.
Mowry starred and is perhaps best known as T.J. Henderson, a child prodigy, on the sitcom Smart Guy. He played Teddy on the sitcom Full House.
